Makayla, RVT
Staff Manager
Makayla is a Registered Veterinary Technician who was born in Santa Cruz, California, and later relocated to Colorado, where she spent most of her life and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine. She began her career in 2015 and earned her RVT license in 2017 after completing her education at Pima Medical Institute.
Throughout her career, Makayla has explored many areas of veterinary medicine and found particular excitement in surgery, exotic patients, reproductive medicine, and leadership roles. She is thrilled to be a part of the Kokopelli team and looks forward to continuing to grow her knowledge and skills while building long-lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets.
Outside of work, Makayla enjoys spending time with her son, who just turned two, going on walks with him and her dachshund, Pikachu, and golden retriever, Buster. She is excited to be closer to her hometown, catch a giants game and can’t wait to explore all that Sacramento has to offer.
