Tracy

Client Service Representative

Being the daughter of a veterinarian, Tracy has been in the company of animals—dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and even a hand-reared squirrel—her entire life. Born in Kenya, East Africa, as a “puppy,” she shared her pram with the family English Bull Terrier (BT), later learning to stand and walk by holding onto the BT’s collar.

She was raised and schooled in the U.K. and started her working life there as a personal assistant and then a Public Relations account manager. Tracy then moved to South Africa—which she considers home—where she worked as an editor on a number of animal publications. Here, she was able to realize her dream of owning an Arabian horse, with whom she got involved in endurance riding. While in South Africa, she was also able to start her Saluki kennel (thanks to the reproduction veterinarians at Onderstepoort Veterinary Teaching Hospital) and take up judging dogs on an international level.

Currently living in a suburb of Sacramento with her husband, four Salukis, and a couple of feral cats, she spends her spare time showing her Salukis, editing and laying out a quarterly magazine, walking, and when she can, traveling home to top up her accent.
